OPEN PORTS...INCREASE DOWNLOAD SPEED

To manually open a port, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click My Network Places.
  2. Under Network Tasks, click View Network Connections. (Or, right-click My Network Places on the desktop, and then click Properties.)
  3. Right-click the connection that you use for the Internet, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings.

    Note If the Settings button is unavailable, ICF is not enabled on this connection, and you do not have to open any ports (because they are all already open).
  5. Click Add to open a new port.
  6. In the Description box, type a friendly name. For example, type File Sharing : Port 445.
  7. In the Name or IP address of the computer hosting this service on your network box, type 127.0.0.1.

    Note You can specify the IP address of an internal computer. But you typically will use 127.0.0.1.
  8. In the External port and Internal port boxes, type the port number. Generally, this number is the same.
  9. Click either TCP or UDP, and then click OK.
  10. Repeat steps 1 through 9 for each port that you want to open.

How to disable autorun in pen drive?

go to start> run> type gpedit.msc
Now from Computer configuration click administrative templates> system
there at the right pane look for "turn off autoplay".
See that its set as not configured.
select enabled and then select 'all drives'.
DONE.

How to change your Product ID in Windows XP

* Click Start > Run > and type in Regedit
* Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\wpaevents


* In the right pane, right-click OOBETimer, and then click Modify & change it to "BHT D GENIUS"
  • Click Change Product Key (at the bottom)
  • TQBTQ-XQV3X-32RCG-VJ3C8-KWKW

Verify the change

  • After the workstation restarts, click Start > Run
  • Type in: "%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" without the quotes.
  • Make sure the dialog box says 'your copy of windows is already activated'

FASTEST WAY TO INSTALL WMP11 IN NON GENUINE VERSION OF XP

GO TO C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data

After u have clicked the validate button, the setup will generate a folder called Windows Genuine Advantage. Delete the folder as fast as u can before the validation process is finished. U might need to try 2 or 3 times.

Then, u can enjoy wmp 11.

How to find open ports on a computer

1. To display all open ports, open DOS command, type netstat and press Enter.
2. To list all listening ports, use netstat -an |find /i "listening" command.
3. To see what ports your computer actually communicates with, use netstat -an |find /i "established"
4. To find specified open port, use find switch. For example, to find if the port 3389 is open or not, do netstat -an |find /i "3389".
5. You can use PULIST from the Windows Resource Kit to find which process is using a specified port. For example, pulist |find /i "4125" may display

3) In notepad click then .
4) For file type in the save dialog box select "all files" and for the filename type in .reg or whatever you want. It doesn't matter as long as it has the .reg extension.
